Add 3 more Palestinian lies to the list

It’s time for another installment of Lie Busters.

Israel is racist? Miss Israel 2013, proud Israeli Yityish Aynaw

The first chapter, a few weeks back, reported on the Three Great Palestinian Lies, and two smaller ones.

We’re back now because most of the pro-Palestine crowd, which includes the pro-Hamas clods, may not be productive at much, but they are excellent at running Lie Factories, by which they seduce the uninformed and/or the hateful.

The Three Great Lies are Genocide, Apartheid, Colonizer. By applying simple definitions, logic, and historical facts, we see none of that is true.

Here is the new trio — Racism, White Supremacy, Ethnic Cleansing.

Let’s start with Racism. Usually, that means hating people of a different “race,” but the haters have to be creative here, because Jews and Arabs share many genetic traits, and are of the same “race.” (Yes, I am aware that some (Woke) believe “race” is a “social construct,” but I am not having that debate here. The genetics prove the relationship.)

As to lineage, less than half of Israeli Jews are Ashkenazi, or of European origin.

The rest are Sephardic or Mizrahi, both with roots in the Middle East.

The accusation of white supremacy is particularly insidious, since many persecutors did not consider Jews to be “white.”

One proof of Israel’s color-blindedness was the several operations to rescue threatened Jews from Ethiopia, Jews who are Black.

In 1991, under an Israeli covert military mission known as Operation Solomon, almost 15,000 Black men and women were flown from Ethiopia to Israel, representing the first time in history Black Africans had been brought out of Africa to freedom. Operation Solomon was preceded by smaller operations named Moses and Joshua.

In 2013, Yityish Aynaw was the first Black Israeli to be selected as Miss Israel, to represent her country in the Miss Universe Pageant.

It is a strange sort of white supremacy that chooses a Black woman to represent it.

Finally, the disgusting lie of ethnic cleansing.

While the calumny is thrown about with wild abandon, there is a shred of truth to it.

During the 1948  War of Independence, upon declaring sovereignty Israel was immediately attacked by five surrounding states — Egypt, Syria, Jordan, Iraq, Lebanon — with the intent of killing the infant state in its cradle.

During that war, an estimated 700,000 Arabs living in the newly-announced Jewish state left their homes — either voluntarily or through intimidation or use of force. Israel feared they would be spies, collaborators, or active fighters.

As the link illustrates, historians disagree on many of the details, but what you don’t find in these discussions is about the same number of Jews who were forced out of Arab lands at the same time, often with little more than the shirts on their backs. The threats against them were obvious, with Iraq actually declaring Zionism to be a crime punishable by death. The vast majority of these refugees were welcomed into Israel, while Arab refugees were funneled into refugee camps, where they remain to this day because Arab nations do not welcome them.

All of the above happened 75 years ago.

Today, the Arab population of Israel is more than 2 million, representing about 21% of the nation, and they have more freedom than Arabs in any other land.

The Arab population of both the West Bank (under Israeli control)  and Gaza (under Hamas control) is increasing greatly.

Between 2012-2021, Gaza has increased from 1.6 million to 2.1 million, while the West Bank increased from 2.6 million to 3.1 million. This means Gaza population expanded 31% contrasted with 19% in the West Bank.

If these population surges represent “ethnic cleansing,” the Israelis are doing a very poor job of it.

Not to make light of it — the figures don’t lie, but many pro-Palestine protesters do.

The Arab population is skyrocketing even as Israel haters bellow about “ethnic cleansing.” It would be laughable except for the gullible who believe it.

I wonder what will be the next lies they invent.

  1. Great stuff, Stu. We also hear a ton about “colonizers.” Not only is modern Israel a distillation of the very best from the culture of the European countries that colonized much of the world, today’s mentality, admittedly noble in its desire to uncover and even undo the horrors of the past, also consistently leaves out the advancements colonization often brought.

  2. Did you ever get the feeling you were banging your head against a wall when trying to bring the light of truth? Hatred has a way of blinding people, making them deaf, and causing them to spew vileness from their mouths. Thank you for trying, but thousands of years of the same bullroar convinces me only the end of time will bring this mess to a conclusion.

    1. If anything I write changes ONE mind — I win.
If it causes two to rethink their opinion — I win.
If it has zero effect — I lose.
Mostly, I am aiming at the undecideds.

      1. THAT I understand. (“I cannot feed all the hungry people in the world, but I can feed some.”)
