Trump’s first appointment seems to troll Mark Cuban

Well, ain’t that something.

In what I can’t help seeing as a trolling of Mark Cuban, President-Elect Donald J. Trump appointed Susie Wiles to be his chief of staff, the first woman to hold that post for any president. It was his first appointment, and it came fast.

Billionaire Cuban, you may recall, told the TDS-majority of The View what they wanted to hear: “Donald Trump, you never see him around strong, intelligent women. Ever. It’s just that simple. They’re intimidating to him.” A stupid misfire, for which he later apologized.

I am no fan of Trump’s but he has appointed many strong, intelligent women, both as a developer, and as a president. I particularly remember the strong intelligent women around him who testified against him in the Jan. 6 hearings.

Cuban also said Trump doesn’t like to be challenged, and I think that is true. Many powerful people, not just men, don’t like to be challenged.

It seems Wiles has the green light to challenge him, or maybe she is smart enough, reportedly, to maneuver Trump away from his demons without a direct confrontation.

So who is Susie Wiles? Reuters offered a bio that describes her as a no-nonsense “ice maiden,” empowered by the president, a source told CNN, to keep the “clown car’ out of the White House.

Her reputation is for competence and discipline. She was the co-chair of his successful presidential campaign.

She got her start working on Ronald Reagan’s successful 1980 presidential campaign,  shuns the spotlight, and can be ruthless. She is the daughter of NFL player and broadcaster Pat Sumerall.

I see her as a sort-of Snow White, surrounded by some dwarves with black hearts, the ones who stoke Trump’s demons and will lead him into quicksand.

As an American, I want him to succeed, to stick to policy, and to fulfill the promises a majority of us like.

  1. The beneficial difference for the USA between Trump and someone else who will not be named, is that the other person selected his very important positions, Supreme Court, too, by the weaknesses of the DEI method of ones identity over ability or merit.

It seems Trump picks people for ability and merit.

    1. Yeah, three fucking liars. You are a disgrace. You supported a person who literally encouraged Americans to overthrow a legal election, a rapist, and a felon. You lack morals.

      1. Sadly, he’s not the only deluded bumpkin who voted freeze, my friend. So now I never want to hear the words “America is better than this” again. I want honesty. I want an admission of exactly who we are as a country, and let’s be damn clear about that definition: We are a country that just elected – that just willfully chose – one of the most cruel, unscrupulous and transparently self-serving political figures in modern history to be president again.
We just elected a convicted felon who has normalized bullying, spread hate like an industrial sprinkler and has shown us over and over again that he sees laws as irrelevant. A majority of Americans cast their vote for the man who is a poster child for the worst in all of us. America just chose chaos and hate.
A year from now, I don’t want to hear a damn word about anyone not realizing just how bad things could get. I also don’t want to hear about anyone who didn’t vote because they were still “doing their research.”

        1. When I think of chaos and hate, I think of having to call people over in order to buy socks at Walmart and the unifying language contained in those peaceful Ivy League “sit ins” on campuses around the Northeast. January 6th was one day and CCTV clearly demonstrates that it wasn’t nearly as bad as the baby Huey liberals contend.

        2. I thought Wanda. Freeze and that asshole Bogart would be in the nut house by now getting treated for Trump derangement syndrome. They must have escaped. MAGA😂

    2. Laura Loomer? Rudy Giuliani? MTG? Wouldn’t need someone to keep the “clown car” out of the White House, if, er, someone else didn’t keep letting them in. “Ice Maiden” OK. Perfect nickname for a very strict nanny. He needs that.

Don’t get me wrong, I always look for silver linings. If she can keep the clown car away from the White House, I think that’s good for the country. Unfortunately, she already let RFK, Jr. in the door, so I question her ability keep the clowns out. But, I suppose even if she just whittles down the clown population, I suppose that’s something.

  2. Don’t know much about her, but on the surface seems like a good hire. The part of what you wrote about her being Snow White who will likely be the last person in the room with him after the Blackhearts try to get through to his demons is my hope.

  3. Biden was a simpleton. But he was elected because all the dumb sheep believed all the lies the democrats and the corrupt media said about Trump. If you can put your hate away and you are fair you know Trump was an above average president . And if you are fair you know Biden was one of the worst presidents in history. Put away. Your hate. Trump is not a dictator. He puts Americans first not like Biden who opened the borders at the tax payers expense. Has us paying for 2wars that should have never happened. Most of the American people saw that and voted Trump in overwhelmingly. Stop the hate.

  4. Look at all the cry baby losers. The American people have spoken . They voted the democrats out because they suck. Biden and Kamala were the worst administration in the history of the country. Everyone who voted for Harris knows this but they put their hate for Trump over the country. Trump is not going to be a dictator. Why do you assholes believe that crap. Trump did a great job his first term and will be even greater his second term. Why don’t you put your hate away and watch as he makes America great again.

  5. I find it laughable when people on the left, and complicit conservatives who want to be liked by the left, pretend to support women, and display the most malodorous and malevolent misogyny. Any attacks on progressive women are written off as hate speech, or harrassment, whereas it is acceptable to target conservatives like Sarah Palin, calling her stupid, “not the mother of her child,” corrupt and a Stepford Wife (all accusations that I have heard against her.) Frankly, this pearl clutching about the end of democracy from both sides of the aisle, all of whom hate Trump and cloak that hatred in some fatuous and inauthentic love of “democracy” is humorous. I started out being respectful of the people who were truly, albeit unreasonably distressed by Harris’ loss (the writing was clearly on the wall) but I have given up trying to be kind and respectful and now I really don’t give a damn if they are tearing their clothes and wailing. There are smart women, and minorities, who celebrate the results of the last election, and if they don’t exactly celebrate it, they accept it with equanimity. I have nothing but disdain for the people out there, looking up at the sky that is falling and feeling so virtuous as they point fingers and wish half of the country (actually a bit more) to hell. Over it.

  6. I was at the Barnes & Noble earlier and I asked the clerk if they had Donald Trump’s new book on how to deport illegal immigrants.
She immediately said to me, “Get the fuck out of here and don’t come back!”
I said, “Yes, that’s the one. Do you have it in paperback?”
