Trumpers get their panties twisted over pronouns

Who is this nonsense supposed to protect? Or harm?

The Trump administration doesn’t like trans people, that’s pretty obvious.

President Trump has signed executive orders to ban trans people from the military, and to ban trans women from competing against biological females in student athletics.

As he is wont to do, he goes too far. He gets smaller every day.

His tight-featured, hip-shooting press secretary, Karoline Leavitt said she will no longer respond to reporters who use pronouns in their email signatures.

First, responding to reporters is part of her job, for which she is paid about $180,000 — public money, and the press represents the public. That is why freedom of the press is enumerated in the First Amendment to the Constitution. So, lady, do your j-o-b.

Second, her rationalization for the rule shows that while she is the youngest person to hold the job, she is not the brightest. “Any reporter who chooses to put their preferred pronouns in their bio clearly does not care about biological reality or truth and therefore cannot be trusted to write an honest story,” she said in a statement to the Washington Post.  https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/2025/04/09/karoline-leavitt-pronouns-journalists-email/

A heterosexual female reporter, for instance, who gives her pronouns as “she” and “her” is expressing both biological reality and truth. How can that possibly be a problem? Leavitt probably meant to ignore people using a pronoun contrary to their birth certificate, but that’s not what she said.

The Trump administration said it recognizes two sexes — male and female.

Straight reporters who list their genders in accordance with their standard equipment at birth are in accordance with that administration mandate, so why would they be red-lined?

Answer: Sheer stupidity.

Who is this nonsense supposed to protect? Or harm?

The Post acknowledges the rise of the use of personal pronouns became “normalized across many industries” to support trans people and to prevent “misgendering.”

I support trans people, generally, but I don’t wave my pronouns like a flag in a tornado. I find pronouns virtue signaling, but harmless. Why are the Trumpers so fixated on this? Leavitt need not use pronouns. She can address journalists by name or even not. Do your j-o-b, lady.

What’s next on the MAGA dizzy list — a ban on honorifics, such as “Mr.,” “Miss,” and “Mrs.?” Aren’t they kind of DEI? (Just kidding.)

Would I get banished for calling Leavitt Mrs. Karoline Riccio, as she is married to millionaire Nicholas Riccio?

As usual, the Team Trump, in their blind lust to shatter norms, always go too far and expose their half-baked ideas to ridicule.
