The things that President Trump got right
I know some of you won’t agree with all, but if you agree with none, that’s TDS
Mostly, I write for you. This one is for me (with apologies to Barry Manilow.)
Donald J. Trump is not a Nazi. He is not Hitler. Those who say that Trump is Hitler disgrace the memory of the millions executed by the monster who was Hitler. I take personal offense at that.
Trump is a criminal. His conviction proves that. Maybe he is evil, but I’m not sure of that. I don’t think he is racist, or anti-Semitic, or homophobic. I’m sure many of you disagree, and can point to fragmentary evidence.
In my opinion, he is a thin-skinned, lying, narcissistic, under-educated, golf-addicted, inarticulate, long-winded, dumpster fire.
With that said, that doesn’t mean he has done nothing right — in this case, “right” meaning things I agree with. Most of you will agree, except for the TDS readers here. You know who you are. And so do the rest of us.
What Trump did right: Operation Warp Speed produced a Covid vaccine in record time. He has freed more hostages than any recent president. He cut the head off the ISIS caliphate. He slammed shut the open border. Space Force. Anti PC. Abraham accords. Ban on biological men competing against biological females.
I know some of you won’t agree with all, but if you agree with none, that’s TDS, because some are empirically true.
I also know that those suffering from Trump Agreement Syndrome will squawk because I said some unkind things about Dear Leader.
I did, because he deserves it. But to MAGA heads, no criticism is fair, and none can be tolerated.
Basically, this one was for me because on various platforms the cultists Trump supporters accuse me of TDS if I ever dare criticize Dear Leader.
Someone with TDS — you know who you are — are physically unable to credit him with doing anything right. I do give him credit when deserved. And the Trump Agreement Syndrome people can’t admit he is ever wrong.
So I publish this for one reason — to link to when I am accused of TDS. Easier than explaining it to the cultists enthusiasts over and over again.
