I’ll keep this brief. My recovery from hip replacement surgery is much more painful than I expected. I don’t want to go deep into detail.
Researching material, and even just typing, is very difficult because I can’t sit at a desk.
So this means I will probably posting less in the weeks ahead than the week’s past.
And it means I probably will not reply to every comment. Not the way I wanted to start my fourth year here. ☹️
still HAPPY FRIDAY !!!
Stu,
You’ve been suffering and struggling for far too long. I know that you can tough it out. Just as long as you don’t have to get up in a bucket truck !
Tony
So sorry to hear that. Mine was painful for the first 4-5 days, then got better rapidly. But maybe my situation isn’t your situation.
Hang tough Stu.
Slight improvement today, thank you
Good luck, Stu, and best wishes.
I commiserate with you. I tore up my left knee playing football in 1972. Never felt such pain.
All of us look forward to your writings after you get well.
Remember what I said about pain. This is not a pain endurance contest Stu. You don’t need it in your life. Hugs from us. W
I decided to use the oxy.
Did the oxy help you Sty?
In concert with other meds, yes. Pain is down to a 7. When I am moving. Right now, sitting still, the pain is 0.
I am extremely glad to hear that Stu. Hopefully you will continue to improve at a very quick rate.
Speedy recovery my friend
I hope you have a very restful night and an even better tomorrow Stu.
Good Morning Stu. Hopefully your pain has lessened at least to something more manageable.
Take care my friend.
Ditto Stu. Took about two weeks after my hip replacement to sleep without discomfort. Slept more in the “Stress Less” chair. Sitting in a recliner wasn’t as bad as sitting on a sofa or chair. You’ll find your spot.
Correct. Sofa is i possible. I divide my time between bed with raised leg, and an executive chair. I may rent a recliner.
Stu,
I wish you a speedy recovery and get out of pain soon.
