I’ll be seeing you — hopefully

Tuesday I enter the world-famous Wills Eye Hospital for surgery on my left eye, to be followed in two weeks by surgery on my right eye. Cataracts.

I am told I will be in the hospital for a few hours and that I will be able to function later. Whether I will be able to read and then post, that I do not know.

So if I am not around for a few days, you will know why. Hold a positive thought for me, if you care to.

  1. HAPPY MONDAY !!!
    Pallie,
You are in good hands. All the best. Take it easy on Chai & Chamorro.

  2. You’ll be in the best of hands: God’s And Wills Eye ain’t bad, either. I’ll say a prayer for you, Stu.

  3. Good luck with everything Stu. Having had multiple friends, as well as my wife go through this procedure with no problems, I’m sure you’ll be in good hands at WillsEye.

  4. Hey Stu,
Worked with you at the DN (I was in sports) for years. I recently had cataract surgery for both eyes. Piece of cake. And, I see better than ever before! You’ll be fine.

  5. I have 60% blockage and I have trouble seeing at night. I’m reluctant to have the surgery, although my ophthalmologist at Wills Eye says I’ve met insurance requirement. Don’t want to do it. I hope everything works out for you and you heal quickly. Give me some inspiration. I’m a chicken I guess..

  6. Tom and I are cheering for you.

We know you’ll get the best possible care, of course–we have friends and associates
    on staff at Wills.
And goodness knows, all of your readers and admirers need you clear-eyed.
    You’re in good hands.

  7. Take care my friend. They tell me it’s not a terrible surgery.. Thank God I don’t have cataracts. I will look for your blogs. My thoughts and prayers go out to you

  8. Stu, I had cataract surgery on both eyes and everything worked out great. My long distance vision is great, and while I need to use reading glasses, the tradeoff was worth it.

    All the best,
    Jon Caroulis
